This newsletter serves as both a reflection on our past journey and an open view of the direction God is guiding us towards next.
Before we proceed, we want to express our gratitude to you for supporting us through your prayers, generosity, and steadfast belief in this mission. Thanks to you, the lives of young single mothers and their children are being impacted.

Looking Back: What God Has Done This Year

Since this mission began in March, we have witnessed the Lord's guidance and His goodness in ways we could never have imagined.
Starting from our humble beginnings, God has enabled us to expand in both impact and purpose, bringing us immense joy to see how even a small effort can significantly change a person's life.

Looking back, this is what we have been able to achieve;

After recognizing the needs in the community, we established our core programs to address these requirements for the girls, such as:
  • Devotions: These were intended to spiritually nourish the girls and share the good news of Jesus' love.
  • Tailoring and Fashion Training (Sewing): This was intended to give them a skill that lays the groundwork for self-sufficiency as they care for their babies. And now, after five months of training, the girls were capable of making clothing for both themselves and their children.
  • Little Lights Kids Club: A Christ-centered group for the children of these mothers, where they sing, play, and learn about Jesus as we guide them towards a future centered on Christ.
  • Community Outreaches: We visited these mothers at their homes to hear their stories, pray with them, and provide a small care package containing either food or home supplies for both them and their babies. This was based on what we could afford.

Other achievements include;
  • We successfully registered the mission as a local entity in Uganda, granting us full operational licensing under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). We are now in the process of fully registering it as a Local NGO with the NGO Bureau.
  • We are also in the process of registering the organization in the Netherlands as a stichting, which will enhance our ability to support operations in Uganda.

Challenges & Ongoing Needs

Like any growing mission, we have faced challenges along the way. These include(amongst others):
  • Limited financial resources
  • The need for more volunteers and teachers
  • A shortage of training materials and resources to support the girls
  • The lack of concrete partnerships, both locally and internationally
We share these needs openly, believing that God often answers prayer through people who are willing to stand in the gap.

Re-Strategizing for Greater Impact (Important Update)

Through prayer and discernment, God has placed a deeper burden on our hearts: to expand this mission beyond our current reach, into villages where girls are even more vulnerable and where the needs extend beyond skills training to necessities, shelter, discipleship, and holistic care.
However, due to our current financial limitations, we cannot immediately make this a reality, nor can we fully sustain the ongoing programs. As difficult as this decision is for us, we must responsibly steward God's intended mission by temporarily scaling back some activities to strengthen our foundation as we look forward to a greater impact. This will include:
  • Reducing the frequency of specific mission activities
  • Assisting a smaller number of girls for a season to ensure manageability
  • Shifting from a permanent mission house to mobile projects for enhanced sustainability and lower costs

This faith-driven re-strategizing step is essential to prepare for the greater work God is guiding us toward. However, during this time, we remain fully operational, albeit on a smaller scale, as we trust God for renewed provision and guidance on which village He is leading us to.
We believe that with the support of more partners and Donors, our impact will grow both deeper and wider.

A Long-Term Vision: A Permanent Home for KKUg

As provision allows, we are prayerfully planning toward a long-term dream: establishing a permanent home for the Mission. This could take a very long time to establish, but we believe we are ready for the first baby steps.
This vision includes acquiring land and gradually developing it to:
  • Serve as a training and skills development center
  • Host organizational activities and discipleship programs
  • Build small homes to support girls and families in need of shelter
  • Create a mission home for visiting missionaries, volunteers, and partners

An Invitation to Walk With Us

Sustainable, consistent support is one of the biggest needs we have in this Mission.
We therefore invite you to be committed to being a part of our regular supporters who feel led to stand with this mission on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.
The giving does not need to be large, whether it is €5, €20, €50, or any amount God places on your heart
Consistent giving allows us to plan responsibly, steward resources wisely, and move forward with clarity.
One-time donations are greatly valued and always welcome.
If you prefer to support a particular cause, program, or activity, you are welcome to do so as well.
